Division 3: My Identity Metaphor Pastel Art

My Identity Metaphor Pastel Art

Students explored their identity through poetry and experimented with oil pastels to develop different pastel techniques and explored the constraints of the medium.

They then planned an “I am” metaphor phrase to capture their sense of place and identity. Students completed a design plan before they got started to ensure that they had a concrete plan to guide their work.

The class then spent 3 weeks working on their “My Identity Pastel Metaphor Art”.
