Engaging Strategies

Engaging Strategies including Brain Breaks and Transition Techniques are inherently infused with Social Emotional Learning. They vary in complexity and include processing and reflection time, and consist of sequential steps that are facilitated to support learning individually and collectively.  One example of these strategies is Brain Breaks. Brain breaks provide vital opportunities for anchoring learning, regaining focus and enhancing creativity. Many of our classes used movement breaks such as yoga, a walk outside or movement to music as a way to keep the brain refreshed and open to learning.
